Good photo Cherie but I can’t help thinking as I cruise around the photo hunters of the world, we are all foreign or live in foreign parts to someone else.

    Happy weekend to you.

I did think as I posted it that I was a foreigner in a foreign land but it felt like home to me. It made me think that the idea of foreign is just implanted in our brain. I love so much to experience other cultures and enjoy them, and is important to maintain our cultural heritage!!!

What a cool sculpture. Love that green against the sky.

What a lovely photo and I think I can recall that sculpture. What a long time ago I went to Brussels, I would love to go again with a half decent camera :) It is a powerful statue for sure.
*she wanders off thinking of gorgeous cobbled streets and moules mariniere* :-D

You should go to Bruges with that camera. There are some wonderful photo opportunities there and talking of food, waffles with chocolate are quite something ;-)

  4. It’s such a subjective thing. I think is is largely a state of mind, a function of our tribal nature. Happy weekend

  5. Off topic CP, watching Newsnight last night there was a report featuring the Albert Memorial in Kensington Gardens. At one point the cameraman showed a shot similar to your photo in the quiz awhile back. I thought to myself, ‘If only I had seen this before Cherrypie’s post’…

Foreign? Haven’t you heard Cherie? Brussels is your capital city now… or so I’ve been told by some angry EU-phobes. (Don’t shoot me – I’m only passing on their message).

  7. Andree says:

That is a wonderful statue. I love the angle that you took the photo.

  8. Wow! How old could that be?

My Photo Hunters is up. I hope you have some time to take a peek. Happy weekend!

Lovely! It reminds me of the statues on the Victoria Albert Memorial in London.

Again this is one of those themes that can easily take so many directions. Great shot and perfect for the theme.

That flag must be hyeavy to wave.
