The brickwork is incredibly neat! Symmetrical is perhaps a better word!
It is quite fascinating looking down on it.
btw, I’m not going to be weighed tomorrow: I know I have put on lots of pounds!
It is difficult isn’t it? I did put on a little when I was away but that was mostly because I had a cold which made me feel more hungry than usual. I will be posting my graphs again soon, but I needed a break from them.
I think you should go back next week, I always find the support helps to keep me on the straight and narrow
I’m truly enjoying visiting those ruins. Amazing that so many walls are still solidly standing. Or so, it seems.
They are amazing to look at, I feel privileged to have so many places in tact that I am able to visit
As a young man the thought never crossed my mind I would one day appreciate old ruins.
Ruins can be fascinating. Now was ‘crossed’ an intentional pun?
You still get a good sense of the majesty of the castle. Good shot
It is quite imposing. The English Heritage Gift shop rather spoils the view from this angle though.
Cherie, I scrolled through all of your posts on Warkworth Castle–what a magnificent structure it must have been in its day. Oh, the history, drama, and excitment that took place there! It must have been an awesome experience to just walk through those ruins. Great posts. Mickie
I am so glad you enjoyed the virtual tour. There are some great ruins in that area of our country
