Love the brick work on the house but these foxgloves are just amazing…so tall and so straight. A wonderful flower…that is helpful when used properly and deadly when not. Why is it that something so beautiful can be so harmful? Just part of nature…one part we will never understand.

I am very fond of foxgloves. Yes they are beautiful and dangerous, beauty is always so tempting. A lesson to be learned?

It very much reminds me of the poison garden at Alnwick.

Foxgloves the stateliest of flowers and the close up is impressive.
    Another lovely house too.

Lovely house and garden. The foxglove (what a strange name) is beautiful. Very nice photos. Have a good weekend. Mickie ;)

It is the more common name for Digitalis which is highly poisonous if eaten. But extracts from it are also used in treating heart disease.

I hope you have a good weekend too :-)

“In the garden, Autumn is, indeed the crowning glory of the year, bringing us the fruition of months of thought and care and toil.
And at no season, safe perhaps in Daffodil time, do we get such superb colour effects as from August to November.”

    Beautiful photos.

Quality foxglove image. I like how you seem to have used what looks like the same viewpoint and moved in a little closer to study the foxglove.
