I like both of your pictures Cherry…. the first one is my favorite because you have framed it showing the depth almost three dimensional…. on the second i like the shrines or across the side and the light coming through the windows across the grass…. well done….peter:)
Great presentations, Cherie. It seems (on the second photo) that there is still a cemetery, next to the walls of the Priory. The spirits of those people must haunt the grandiose place where they worshipped.
Another of those places which develop their magic especially when there are no (noisy) tourists around …
Yes these places are wonderful when there is no-one else around. So much history and atmosphere to soak up.
Simply beautiful. I love the gothic splendour!
Thank you, it is a great place
Love the first image, such a gorgeous building.
I am trying to imagine it when it was fully intact
the sun always seems to be shining when you go visiting anywhere
how do you do it?
I don’t know how I do it. It is true though that I have had very few (a handful) of rainy holidays over the years…
Both of this years holidays have been more rainy than usual… I have some quite moody weather views coming up from my Malham break
Awesome photos … love the first one!
Thanks MM

Thanks Peter, I rather like the sky in the first picture.

Thanks Claude
There is a cemetery at the front of the priory. It will become clear why it is there tomorrow.
Thanks for bringing it to life with your title.
