Oblivion

Whilst I was standing at the bottom of this ride taking photos I got chatting to another lady who was trying to capture a photo of her family as they fell to oblivion. We decided that this ride was just plain wrong!!

These small photos don’t convey the effect very well, especially the steamy pit in the third photo.

Don't Look...

You Will Look!!!

Hmmm, I have to confess that this one is my very best favourite ;)

Not for me….Please, please, don’t get me on one of those. Just watching makes my head spin and my heart shake. Even at as kid, I would never take a ride on a roller coaster.

I tried a fairly tame one once. I hated the sensation as I was flung from here to there.

I have never been on once since, I don’t see the point ;-)

Great action shots Cherie… i got some shots of rides like this at Canada’s Wonderland on out road trip with the kids this summer… but your shots put mine to shame….peter:)

It wasn’t my cuppa tea even when I was young, Cherry! Can’t imagine anyone having fun on something like this. (sigh)

It looks as though the ones on the bottom left have no legs!

    It is, definitely, wrong!

Reading through all your replies Cherie and it seems I am the only nutter, LOL

The other people I went to Alton Towers with enjoyed the rides, it was only me that did the gardens. So you are in good company and not the only nutter ;-)

I’m not into extreme rides …
I remember going down to Southport a while ago with four work colleagues for an evening wedding function. Some had never been there before and we entertained ourselves after the wedding ceremony at the sea front. The log flume is as good as it gets for me !! I’m pleased you posted these, good ones too at that, as it gives us an insight into whats available these days for the thrill seeker.

    • CherryPie says:

I am not a thrill seeker and no amount of pressure would make me go on one of the rides ;-)

But the rides provide great opportunities for photos. I would perhaps get my thrills out of a photo challenge ;-)
