  1. That’s the hall I saw on BBC. :)
Funny they talked about servants who worked in the castle.
Their relationship was not like the Victorian upstairs/ downstairs.

I am going to Switzerland and the French Alps tomorrow.
Yes, sure I can teach you how to yodel like a real Swiss when I return next week.
    See you then. :)

  2. I’m always amazed at the early architecture and its supportive nature.

So that is where it is.
My late mother went to art school as a retirement activity.
Over the years she painted many pictures of places, that she and Dad had visited. Now, years on, I have quite a few of these paintings, some stored upstairs but several, framed, and hanging around the house.
In the lounge at this minute, is an oil painting, just as your second picture down!
I had never known where the location was.
Thanks CherryPie, I shall now write it on the back for future generations.

I am glad that helped you with one of your Mother’s paintings. I would have liked to include a bit more of the stairway to the left but right in front of the door that just shows in the bottom middle of the photo was a no entry sign and red and white tape. It rather spoiled the look of the photo.
