What a beautiful old place it is.
I found the difference in the buildings fascinating.
Not sure if you observed the same: In Italy quite a few of such old buildings emerge as ‘maximum security prisons’. CCTV everywhere.
Amazing, interesting and – at the same time – disturbing.
It did not notice that in the places I visited in France. But I can see how that would be disturbing!
These are three great shots Cherie… the new looks to be only a hundred years old and the old perhaps two or three:)….peter:)
I like the differences in tiredness
Hello, I am back.
How was your bank holiday?
I went to Sheffield! Ha~
Originally, I wanted to visit the Peak District and use Sheffield as a base.
But the weather was so rubbish.
The bank holiday was lazy (apart from booking a weekend away which was complicated…), I loved it
Sheffield is not too bad, right?! Ha!
I didn’t know it could be that fascinating!
Actually, I also went to a little town called Rotherham, not far away from Sheffield.
That’s another hidden gem in South Yorkshire!
England has so much to offer, why bother booking a holiday elsewhere? ;o)
The only reason I guess is to avoid the rainy weather
That top one in particular is magnificent.
I found the contrast interesting
I was going to say excellent first photo!
………..but James beat me to it
Now I need you to tell me why (you and J) think that photo has the edge…
I am quite drawn to the second picture for interesting-ness.
I just love French architecture.
This town had a lot of variety.
