    This is such a fine photo of a beautiful place, Cherie – I can understand why my husband goes north to walk so often. He loves the Lake District, and has walked some of the long-distance paths.

  6. OK, I will stop giving myself a big fat multimillion bonus as a reward for doing my job badly, or even just competently… Oh, hang on a minute. Have I detected a flaw in the thought here? :)

  7. Plus of course I should really avoid killing innocent civilians with my drones, avoid raping women (or men for that matter) and stop hiding my money in foreign tax havens, and… Nope. Another thought for the week I am not getting on with very well.

    I think we maybe just slide over quotes like that in our heads sometimes, all superficial. But it is a real and deep truth.
