I wish you a wonderful trip. (or maybe you’re home already, in which case, I hope you had a fabulous break.) Either way, I’m sure the photographs will be spectacular.

Thank you :-) I got back yesterday evening. I was a little tired after packing far to much into the weekend. I am having a lazy day today before going back to work tomorrow.

Comforting that it is still there in place. I agree with Suzie. :)

As we arrived at the airport my Mum said ‘I don’t know how the get in the air and stay up there’. I replied ‘it is because we believe they do’. ;-)

      And thank you :-)

  3. And you made it despite a bent wing too :)

You should have pointed out the bent wing to your Mum. She might have wanted you to tell the captain.

By the way I tried that “belief” thing with my car in a traffic jam. Didn’t work.

We did make it despite the bent wing ;-)

She probably would have wanted us to but that was not necessary, she was just speculating on how unprobable things work :-)

The ‘belief’ thing… You didn’t believe and that is why it didn’t work… Or maybe the traffic jam presented some answers to be explored ;-)

      • The problem with your “belief” theory is that many planes are full of nervous people thinking, “I can’t believe this thing can fly”, and yet they fly :)

The funny thing actually is that with that shape and traveling at that speed it is more difficult to stop these things from flying than to make them fly. People don’t generally realise how thick air is, but just get your Mum to hold her hand out of a car window even at the modest speed of 50 mph and she’ll soon feel how strong it can be. (Safety Note: Just make sure she doesn’t fly off and out the window of course.)

I think it would be safe to say that it would be very unwise for my Mum to stick her hand out of the window. She is rather petite and I have visions of her sailing into the sky like Mary Poppins!

The stopping the things from flying… Yesss Bumpy touch downs on inbound and outbound flights…
