The Paris virgin quite understandably wanted to go up to see the view from the top of the Arc de Triumph and one of the Paris veterans accompanied him. I took everyone else to the Champs Elysees to have coffee and cake watching the world go by whilst we waited for the Arc de Triumph adventurers to join us. One of the party didn’t want to stop at any of the cafes… Then that person ‘claimed’ a loo break emergency which involved going into M&S and a stressful walk rather than a leisurely stroll for both groups
I have to admit I was beginning to lose my cool (especially as there was no emergency really!!)…
Eventually both groups reconnected and we went into the nearest cafe which was more expensive than I would have chosen and they did not serve cake, but they did have a rather nice Belgian Beer which helped to refocus my mood And on the way back to the hotel I purchased a naughty cake to enjoy at my leisure
If you are wondering… The naughty cake will be featuring soon
have a beer for me ! wish i was relaxing there now
I would quite like to be back there myself
Cheers
Every day in Paris we stopped on the Champs Elysees to watch the world go by. It is always the most relaxing part of the trip. And all for the price of a coffee. Or beer.
My favourite visit to Paris was the year we stopped not far away from the Arc de Triomphe and most evenings we strolled down the Champs Elysees
Naughty cake sounds just the ticket.
It was
Don’t you just love those Belgium beers…and their names!
Yes they are wonderful aren’t they?
Always a good place to relax!
Nice just watching the world go by!
Hi D,
Thank you for dropping by and leaving a comment, I hope you understand that I can’t publish it because it is talking about other people which is something I am not happy with on my blog, although it does happen from time to time when I post something that is deemed controversial.
In answer to your question. I can’t shed any light on that, because I don’t know the answer.
I send both of you my best wishes xx
