Ahhhh summer. Beautiful.
I am looking forward to Spring, lighter days, new growth and SUNSHINE
Lovely river, and the ducks are caught magnificently with those reflections on the flat water. Beautiful.
It was a perfect moment
that’s a splendid foto of the ducks
…tightly crop the male only (plus reflection of vourse) and you will have an even better foto
To get a perfect photo of the male duck needs a little bit more than cropping. If I just cropped the pic the photographic proportions would be all wrong…
I will work on it and you can give me a critique
That comment puzzles me. You can crop while keeping the proportions all identical, so I am not sure what you mean.
Cropped as suggested would be magnificent, as would cropped closer but containing both. It really is a great image, whether cropped or not.
But the reflection of the lady, especially her tail, is awesome too. A crop that just contains the two of them would be good.
You will see I have already worked on the photo and two versions will be posted!
PS: A close crop of the two of them is another challenge…
Later
The swans and the river are beautifully framed Cherie… but the ducks look like a painting…. two great shots….peter:)
Thanks Peter I quite like this crop myself. I often crop my photos to make more than one different view. But this one I thought I couldn’t better.
I am up to my challenges though
Beautiful shots! Thank you.
Thank you Claude
I had to Google what a river sow is, Cherry, and had to laugh when I found out it’s a river. HA!
*chuckles* I never gave it a thought that the title might be confusing despite the fact I had never heard of the River Sow before either!!
Ha better than the original name for the River Rom – the Murkeyditche!
Strange and Curious!
Baby swans ar so cewt, rising on theyer mummys’ backs!
:@}
They are adorable
Quality shot of the ducks … great reflection & pure background.
Thank you
