I only found it because I was looking at the Flodden connections in the anniversary year.
This is a superb presentation of this magnificent Scottish church Cherie… it is very graceful but built with rough stones… and it represents its people well….peter:)

I love the borders between Scotland and England. I certainly visited some fine churches whilst I was there in September.

I have been dropping huge hints to dearest about buying me a new camera for my birthday later this month.
Have you been to the Coach House recently, since Toby and Leonora retired?

We went to the Coach House at the end of last season (September) just before Leona and Toby closed their business there. I have very fond memories of the visit.

That is a really unusual Church, Cherie – the Nave looks like an upturned boat
Now you come to mention it is does!! It brings on a whole new concept to Noah and his Ark!
It really is awe-inspiring to imagine the masons and architects who built ancient churches and cathedrals – without the help of computers or modern lifting equipment.

Looks very small but there seems lots of light. I don’t think I’ve come across this before … might have to google it.
We came across it as part of the Flodden trail last year. It is a lovely church.
