Wondrous (is “too short”)
The walk is short but it requires long appreciation
Gorgeous. Hope you stopped a while on that seat.
I did stop for a while but not on that particular seat
How do you find these things, Cherie?
I have been visiting this garden for years
However this was the first time I have visited at this time of year (so early in the season).
Should be called Magnolia sit. What a great place to picnic, read a book, write a blog post.
Hodnet Hall is a great place to sit and wander. It also has a great tea shop. On this occasion I had rose cake for lunch
I must remember to send my flickr to blog posts when I am out and about. I haven’t done one of those for ages
Are the rose cakes made from actual rose hips Cherie? I was surprised to learn all the things one can bake with lavender! I must try some of these recipes.
I didn’t ask… but I thought it must include rose water which is made from rose petals. There was a rose flower placed in front of the cake.
The cake was delicious. I would describe the taste of the cake as flowery, although I have no sense of smell.
What a splendid place, filled with serenity. Thank you for sharing.
It is a lovely place. We would enjoy sitting and chatting with each other there.
Magnolias are already on the tail end of their bloom here in London.
There will be another pretty bloom to take their place soon
This is wonderful, love these trees, too bad they only bloom that short and after a night frost they are ‘gone’.
I think that was a nice experience to walk there.
Yes it was a lucky surprise for us to find them flowering when we visited
