How do you find these things, Cherie?

I have been visiting this garden for years ;-)

However this was the first time I have visited at this time of year (so early in the season).

Should be called Magnolia sit. What a great place to picnic, read a book, write a blog post. :)

Hodnet Hall is a great place to sit and wander. It also has a great tea shop. On this occasion I had rose cake for lunch :-)

I must remember to send my flickr to blog posts when I am out and about. I haven’t done one of those for ages ;-)

Are the rose cakes made from actual rose hips Cherie? I was surprised to learn all the things one can bake with lavender! I must try some of these recipes.

I didn’t ask… but I thought it must include rose water which is made from rose petals. There was a rose flower placed in front of the cake.

The cake was delicious. I would describe the taste of the cake as flowery, although I have no sense of smell.

What a splendid place, filled with serenity. Thank you for sharing.

  6. Magnolias are already on the tail end of their bloom here in London. :(

This is wonderful, love these trees, too bad they only bloom that short and after a night frost they are ‘gone’.
I think that was a nice experience to walk there.
