Boxing Day

Here We are Again

Today our visitors turned up late and one less than expected. It was a good job Mr C had factored lateness into his cooking schedule. As we were enjoying our dinner the snow began to fall…

Due to eating lunch late our visitors were too full when it was time for tea. We sent them home with the surplus food, some of which had been bought for special dietary requirements.

I am now enjoying a bit of quiet time after a hectic couple of days.

  1. It all looks rather tempting. Shame I couldn’t make it. (You may disagree :) ) I wasn’t expected was I? :)

The quiet days of 27 & 28th December can be some of the best, I find.

    You have exquisite taste, Cherie.

( I would have been furious if my guests were late, unless unavoidable).

This looks like a great table setting. What is it about time? My watch is always fast and I turn up early, but lots of people have watches that don’t work properly and I wondr if they need new batteries….
    Enjoy your time to recharge.

I wish we had sent our visitors home with food parcels! I think we’ll still be eating it next year!

Hope 2015 brings you your heart’s desire, Cheryl!

I’m sure you had a few stories to share over dinner to keep them entertained as well. Next year you’ll have to find a different set of guests that keep to the time and are prepared to eat … maybe a group of your blog followers ;-)

We did share some tales over dinner and enjoyed playing a board game (provided by our guests) after dinner.

The thought of providing dinner on boxing day for some of my blog friends has great appeal to me :-)

I wonder if some of them could make the journey across the globe for dinner at Cherie’s Place… I know they wouldn’t be late ;-)

  7. I hope you had a good one!
Did you finish all the Brussels sprouts? ;)
