Ha, that could be taken in my neck of the woods.

  2. Nice (ah, comment “too short” again, and I keep preaching the virtues of being concise)

Oh well… Nice, nice, nice, nice, nicety, nice…

it’s a glorious sunset Cherie… i like the way that you framed it with the branches just a bit out of focus….peter:)

You have been getting your fair share of beautiful skies, too, Cherie

Welcome to the New Year, Cherry. Let’s see what it has to offer this time around!!! :)

Nice indeed, Cherie. But it brings to mind Crocodile Dundee in the subway…. “That’s a knife? THIS is a knife !” I am blessed here with sunsets of such variety they would blow your little cotton socks off. :)

Still, we must enjoy what we have. Today I spent an hour at the beach. The day was just splendid.

That’s lovely, I think skies must be hard to photograph.

I don’t seem to have a problem with sunsets or the very rare sunrise shots when I take them. Although sky can be difficult on a bright summers day.

I do like the amber colours in this very much.

It’s a beautiful golden spectacle, Cheryl, I don’t remember I’d have ever seen something like that. Have a great 2015!

  10. You caught a stunning image!

Wonderful colours. It’s amazing how cloud can break or make a sunset.

Clouds can add to a sunset, although one of the best I ever saw was when there was no cloud at all to be seen. I was not able to get a photograph of it (I was driving) but this was my description of it at the time:

The sky was orange and the sun was a bright orange disc gradually changing to an intense red colour. There wasn’t a cloud in the sky so the sun was a perfect circle with a different shade of orangey/red behind it.
