Duty Done…

UK Elections May 2015

I have cast my vote in the National, Borough and Parish elections. As I arrived at the Polling Station I noticed an unexpected buzz of activity and on entering the building I was pleasantly surprised to find a queue of people waiting to pick up their ballot papers. Normally when I go to vote the polling station is empty…

Apparently there had been a queue for two to three hours and we had just caught the tale end of it!!

I hope the results turn out satisfactory for at least a few percent. I hear there is even some support for Gerry Mander, the Independant.

The result was most unexpected all round…

Locally the only guaranteed Labour seat in Shropshire was won (with great surprise) by the Conservatives turning the county completely blue!!

i love the sign Cherie… i don’t think that i’d have voted if i had to stand in a queue for more than 15 minutes:-)

  3. Hoping your results are to your wishes…we have local school board elections soon and voting on school budgets in NY.

It was a difficult election with the 3rd option voter forsaking the lib dem party to concentrate on regional issues and other side shows. Speaking to some with regards to the main event, people seemed not to warm to the labour leader for a variety of reasons. With regards to my constituency, I wasn’t shocked to learn that the MP had retained his seat. After all it’s been in their hands since 1935 !

That is a long time to hold onto a seat! It was a surprising result all round and now we just have to wait and see what they do in office…
