    There is a ‘character’ about older-style churches that many modern ones just lack.

      I like older-style churches from an architectural point of view and the religious treasures they hold and display. I am also in awe of the old Cathedrals that were built with ‘love and faith in God’. When I visit (not for a church service) these old churches, sometimes I feel a presence, quite moving and uplifting :-)

      Modern churches do not have that presence (for me), perhaps because they are not built on the same ‘foundation’ of the older churches.
