The weather has been unusually kind to us for a bank holiday weekend. This meant a trip to a garden centre to obtain some plants to fill some of the vacant spaces in our garden borders. We spent this afternoon filling the new border and some pots on the patio. We sat outside for a while in the afternoon sunshine to enjoy the new transformation. As you can see the garden is still very much a work in progress. Tomorrow we have someone coming to look at the area where our shed is. Hopefully he will be able to do the work that needs doing to demolish the existing shed and replace it with a new one.
I will leave you with a photograph that at took in the early hours of the morning before I went to bed. I am not sure where the time had gone and why I was up so late/early. But I was rewarded with this beautiful sight before I drifted off to sleep listening the birds singing their morning chorus
OK. This is just to make some people envious, isn’t it? There are folk in Saudi Arabia who would love grass like that, and some rich, loamy soil. And you are just taunting them, aren’t you.
Hahahahahahahaha.
Nice work, Cherie.
I am glad you like it, I am pleased with the progress so far
You are always welcome to come and rest a while with me in my garden
Beautiful. So neat and tidy. The perfect spot for dining al fresco, which we used to do a lot on the farm. I love the sound of the dawn chorus, but not whilst I am trying to sleep.
It is neat and tidy after the recent renovations More work needs to be done, but i am pleased with the result so far.
I love the dawn chorus, it doesn’t disturb my sleep, it enhances my dreams
What a lovely garden you have! I definitely think the west side of the country got better bank holiday weather than the east side.
We were charmed with the weather over the bank holiday weekend. Back to work tomorrow though…
You really ARE changing the look of your spot on earth, Cherry. And soon a new shed??!! Congratulations on all the hard work.
We are getting there at long last
