…when foggy was the weather

Misty Morning

The Saturday jaunt to visit my Aunt went well and as you can see we were treated to some fantastic scenes on our outward journey. The SatNav took us on the route that skims past Jodrell Bank which is normally a spectacular sight. Today, however the radio telescope was shrouded by fog and invisible (or beamed up by aliens…).

On arrival at my aunt’s we exchanged Christmas presents then chatted for a while before heading off for a carvery lunch at The Sheldon Arms. After lunch we returned to my Aunt’s house and chatted some more before preparing tea, which after yesterday’s dramas was well received.

When the fog isn’t too thick to be dangerous, it is quite pleasant to drive through it. Sorry not to have been in touch but I have been offf line for nearly a fortnight and am only just now catching up

It was a pleasant morning for a drive, the fog wasn’t to thick to be dangerous. Some drivers without their lights could have been a problem though.

I saw on your page that you had been having problems with your internet. I hope they are all fixed now.

I do like a misty morning for photography. I did not like driving in it a night, though, as idiots will insist on driving with their blinding rear fog lights on – they are only needed in daytime! Normal rear lights are visible perfectly at night. End of rant!

Fog at night is a rather unpleasant experience. I have been in a car when the fog was so thick you could seen the end of the car bonnet. I had to look out of the passenger side to make sure the car didn’t stray to close to the hedge!

Would make a good setting for a horror film. ;)
