I was sooo tempted to title the post ‘Stone the Crows’ but I resisted the urge in case my play on words was missed and I was accused of being cruel to crows!

it just struck me that most photos of this place that i remember are shot on cloudy, gloomy days, CP.
I have some bright blue sky photos from other visits to Stonehenge. I am not sure which way I like it best, both types of sky give it a different atmosphere.
In fact I am intrigued by the sky in these photos because it was a bright sunny day when we visited on this occasion. We walking around in shirtsleeves…
Ha! EH must have forgotten to install the pigeons spikes on the stones.

I’ve never been to Stonehenge and I’ve got no great desire to go.; I think I may be disappointed and probably frustrated by the fact of bong unable to get close to the stones. Avebury is more appealing (and I believe is older).
I used to prefer Avebury but since the recent changes at Stonehenge I have become fascinated by the site.
It was possible to buy tickets for evening visits so that you could walk in the stone circle. I have had a quick glance on the EH site but can’t see it at the moment.
