Manderston

The Home of Lord Palmer, Manderston is the Edwardian House par excellence. It was built with no expense spared and with every modern convenience of that  era. Here you can see sumptuous staterooms and a silver staircase, the only one in the world. Coupled with the elaborate domestic quarters, it gives an intriguing insight into the daily life of the Edwardian Country House.

Outside there a princely stables, octagonal marble dairy and fifty six acres of garden immaculately kept to enjoy.*

Hi CherryPie, you certainly see a lot of the UK ..More than I do. I think I should try and see more of it. I do love Mainland Europe though. Just got a different feel to it. Thanks for sharing your wonderful trips. Loved the Northumberland trip too. My eldest son and wife have a house up there near Morpeth. They don’t live up there though. The calendar was a super idea too. I get calendars for Christmas but they are of the grandchildren , Thank you for your comment on my blog post. Take care Anne xx
