There are many garden rooms at Little Malvern Priory, one of the main themes in relation to the house is the Lakes (ponds). The five ponds were originally Fish Ponds for the monks.
During the major redesign of the gardens in 1983 the lakes were restored to their original levels, and a bridge constructed across the weir at the change in level.*

The gardens and lakes must have been doubly important – restful and healthy site for the monks to wander and think; plus a reliable source of fresh food. I would like to have lived like that.
I would love to see the priory and garden as it originally was
The secret is keeping it looking rural.
The owners plant lots of trees.

There is a rose garden, but it is by the house and not down by the ponds
