I am loving the silvery hair
Thanks, Hels.
I like the colour of my hair it has become more interesting as the years have gone by
They don’t make planes like they used to. But you do look a happy little traveller.
I probably should have entitled the post ‘Sailing to Capri’
It was a pleasant and relaxing boat journey
Hair? What’s that?
Well I do suffer from alopecia, have done for years…
So I have wear my hair a little longer than I would otherwise choose
Well, hello, pretty Cheerful Cherie the Capri Islander, with your cool tortoiseshell shades on!
I’m just curious why you didn’t wear the diamond-head snake necklace from the shop we saw earlier as well? (Because a giant snake necklace with a giant diamond (?) for a head is SO you and all, Cleopatra)
I dunno, maybe you would, it is kind of a cool necklace in an artistic sort of way – I’m just not sure I’ve ever gotten the vibe that you’re into big, flashy bling, either, as I’m not – but I could be wrong.
If I am, let me know and Mark and I will put it on your birthday and Christmas gift list – give us about 30 years to finance it, though, if that’s real diamond
Those cool shades are my prescription sunglasses
I rather liked the artwork in the snake necklace but it something I would never wear. I prefer much more delicate pieces of jewelry. I would normally be wearing my little gold heart locket that was my grandmothers, but the chain broke whilst I was away. I still haven’t got around to fixing it. It still in the tissue I wrapped before placing it my glasses case so that I did not lose it. But now it is a little china box beside my bed.
Ah, the cool shades that also protected your eyes from the snow glare not long ago?
Well, wearing them the Jackie O way, sailing to Capri, is a lot more fun than that day, I bet
I love the more delicate stuff too, less is more – save for my signature silver hoop earrings. But I have a pair of small pearl earrings wrapped in a delicate celtic knot I wear for special occasions that my husband bought me, which came from Ireland through store here in town called “Failte” (“Welcome” in Gaelic), owned by a lady named Lucy who herself is an Irish import
Pearls are the only “gem” I wear, I’m not big into diamonds. I actually am drawn more to the artistry of the band on my wedding ring than the actual diamond, I could care less about the diamond. Ha!
That’s lovely, about your locket from your grandmother – we treasure these heirlooms, don’t we? Precious gems or costume jewelry alike, because of their history and sentiment
My daughter wears a locket from my grandmother in fact – which she keeps in a jewelry box that belonged to my great aunt (my grandmother’s sister, the one who was a WW2 Army nurse) because her initials were engraved upon it and are the same as my daughter’s
My wedding ring is my grandmothers (paternal side) and the locket it is my maternal grandmothers. I have rings from both of them which I wear occasionally
I found the mermaid here!
