if not for the plaque, it appears to be just another nondescript passage, at least to my eyes, CP. i imagine the mill and tannery do not exist anymore?

In my mind it was all about the tearoom situated in the Georgian passage.

My research told me this was an exceptional place for food and drink. I was not disappointed.

I was able to indulge in the Dorset Apple cake which I had not found in other places during our Dorset holiday :-)

I also love the architecture of the buildings on the right hand side of the passageway.

I love the Georgian architecture in the passage, the bushes and the Tea Room, but the pavement stones look uneven and in need of repair.

I too love the architecture in the passageway. The pavement was not a problem to walk on so I think it is probably in perfect repair and appropriate to its setting in the Georgian passage.

  5. Do they sell Victorian sponge in that Georgian Tea Room?
By the way, have you tried lardy cake before?

  6. What a charming little passageway – the tearoom looks delightful. Dorset Apple cake – yum!!! :)
