a wonderful collection of shots, i particularly liked the manhole covers (if that is what they are?) and the ornate lamp post, CherryPie.
What you thought are manhole covers are actually information plaques set into the stone floor. They point to historical points of interest.
The gold work on the weather vane and on the lamps is very delicate and attractive. It must have cost the church or city quite a lot of money.
The weather vane shows a train so I am not sure who would have sponsored that one.
So many beautiful and historical buildnings in your area.
We are lucky that so many historical buildings remain complete or as ruins
