On Saturday a window of opportunity arose for a mid afternoon walk in Attingham Park. Unfortunately the mansion has to remain closed this year but the grounds have been decked out in a Christmassy theme.

It is doing well with its decorations, cheering all who visit
They have made an effort when they can’t do what they usually would.
How lovely to see the Christmas decorations at Attingham.
It was a lovely afternoon
Oh, it is looking very festive there.
They have tried very hard when the can’t do what they would normally do.
Sadly, I haven’t made it over to Attingham Park this year. I did, however, manage to get to Chirk Castle last weekend (we went on a Segway tour!).
The only NT property I have managed to visit this year is Attingham Park and that is because they trialed on the day bookings rather than having to book in advance.
Obviously at busy times on the day booking won’t be possible but I have enjoyed my spontaneous visits rather than having to book in advance.
