Instead of stepping from my doorstep for a walk I chose to drive the short distance to Priorslee for a walk around the lake and maybe the village. Not knowing that the schools in that area have staggered their closing times I found the area busier than I expected.
I enjoyed being able to take my car out for a spin, a different walking location, new views and different photo opportunities. Curiously a missed walking my local pathways. My local pathways have become all about the walk…
Local pathways take me along old and new routes leading to pockets of nature where I can ’sit and rest a while’ along the way.
Like you, I enjoy taking the car a short distance and walking new paths, Cherie
It was a refreshing change to be able to do so again
I hope the swans and ducks warmly welcome you to their space. They look totally serene.
The swans were quite fine with me and other humans. The male swan was not fine with the geese on the lake and spent his time chasing them off!
It is good now to be able to venture a bit further afield to walk but as you say so many places are busy and avoiding school run times not easy.
Over the past year I have tried to avoid the busy routes. On this occasion it caught me out but I still enjoyed my walk and will be back there soon.
