I would like to have lived on a small island and to run a mill in the greenery.
It sounds idyllic
The water reflections look extremely beautiful when the day is fine!
Photo 3 – that’s not a fish ladder, is it?
Did you see the original “mill” on the island?
My original post suggests that the weir may have had multiple functions. One of the photos on that post gives even more detailed explanations.
The weir is also used by experienced canoeists!!!

Remember, remember, the fifth of November
Happy birthday, dear CherryPie, and all the best for your next sun-orbit!
Thank you Sean
You add a special glow into my heart when YOU remember my birthday every year without fail
What an interesting selection of photos, Cherie. I see I can read about Ray Mill Island in your previous post, so I will go there now
The photos are what a saw on my visit. My previous post shows what I saw on that visit.
The Vintage Boys statue looks quite different
Wonderful photos. I like the sculpture of the two men.
Thank you
Oh heartfelt thanks for such exquisite images dear Cheri!
I could feel the tranquillity of water really nicely taken!
Glad you cruised. Season is perfect for this indeed.
This is a lovely place to visit
