… to walk 1000 miles in 2024

Walk 1000 Miles 2024 Pledge

I fell by the wayside in 2023 and won’t quite meet my mileage by the end of the the year. I will dust myself off and start afresh in 2024.

    Good luck with the 2024 goal :) All my oldish friends are doing fewer ks, not more (including myself).

      1000 miles is easily doable in a year, it is 2.75 miles per day. I count all miles/steps rather than just special walks which the enthusiasts call ‘boots on’.

    And I pledge that I will eat one cake per one mile that I walk.

    i can relate to that as i missed my cycling target for this year (by a big margin too) and i wish you much success for the next year target, CP!

    It is so easy to fall by the wayside – I did well until June in 2020, and then circumstances got in the way. I started again in 2022 and didn’t get far. So perhaps 2024 – but I will need to get more motivated right now if I am going to do that. I love the idea, and I wish you well and look forward to what you share with us on your walks
