Red poppies are still a powerful reminder of the losses in World War One. But we normally see only the poppy attached to the shirt. I don’t think I have seen them growing like that.
These are ceramic poppies that were an artwork in the Tower of London Moat to commemorate the centenery of the outbreak of WWI.
I have seen real seas of poppies growing in fields in England.

Do they “plant” these here every year, Cherie?
No it was a special art installation to commemorate the centenery of the outbreak of WWI.
Now the Tower of London plants flowers in the moat that flower during the summer months.
Keats was not the worst of all poets.
Who do you think was the worst
No way! I just visited Keats House (Yes, John Keats’ House!) last weekend!?!
How did you know that??
It must be the mystic ethers
Ha ha! It’s free entry for me with Art Pass
It’s much better value than EH or NT, cos it offers you a little bit from both EH and NT plus a lot more from other attractions.
Including, Chatham & Portsmouth dockyards, Shakespears homes, all the Ironbridge sites, etc etc. Very good value for money indeed.
Excluding Attingham Park though.
But I am sure they can give me special discounts if I mention your name, right?
You could always try to get in free to Attingham but I think they will probably try to sell you NT annual ticket
He he, no unsolicited business please.
Art Pass is still the best one, honestly.
My Kew Gardens year pass is going to expire next month, but I have already done Kew six times thus year, definitely got my money back already.
Next year, I might get a London Zoo year pass
We always pick the best passes for us
