As a volunteer I was allowed to see the mansion decked in all it’s glory the day before it opens for public viewing. Visitors are in for a treat.
Due circumstances beyond my control I did not have the opportunity to see the outdoor Christmas Trail as I had intended to do.
What a lovely Christmas Tree – hope you can see the outdoor trail soon.
The house is full of lovely trees. This one is in the main entrance hall.
Hopefully I will get the opportunity to walk the ‘mile walk’ soon
Shall we top this tree with a golden star or a smiling angel?
It is currently topped with two serpents!
Oh you mean like a caduceus?
So medical!
Yes it does look a bit like that.
The theme of the decorations this year is myths and legends. This tree looks like travelling the globe.
I was hoping to get the story of each design on my planned visit on Saturday. Unfortunately Storm Darragh had other ideas and Attingham Park was closed for the day.
Oh Kew Gardens were shut last weekend too.
But so I stayed in to prepare my next big adventures!
Yeah, going back to Malaysia, then Japan, back to Malaysia, then New Zealand and Australia next month. I am going to miss England. Say hello to Elaine, Farah or Gavin for me. The MET should give these storms more easy-to-remember English names. Not Enya, Freya and Gannon.
It sounds like a lot of fun, enjoy your adventures.
