It isn’t dangerous it is a small woodpile being burnt in a managed way in one of my local woodland areas.

I don’t have a sense of smell so I missed out on that experience.
Oh! I’m pleased that it was not a real volcano!
The real Etna, although very active does not pose much of a threat. The lava is very sticky and slow moving ane people can outrun it. The threat is from the projectiles if you are near to the crator when it erupts. This should not happen as it is closely monitored.
No, it looks more like a fresh dino dung to me.
