Air raids were hideous because they landed on cities and destroyed the nation’s history. The Cathedral Church of St. Michael may be ruined, but it was well worth keeping.
Our bombing raids also destroyed another nations history. The perils of war, but we seem compelled to repeat the past mistakes rather than learn from them.
When we visited some years I found the experience very moving and poignant.
The ruined Cathedral has a special feel about it.
I would like to see this one day. I find visiting places like this to be very moving
I hope you get the opportunity to visit.
This place should be included on the World Heritage Site list!
