I have been away on a mini break to the land where mistletoe grows and am currently working through the photographs I took while I was away. Work is also rather manic at the moment so bear with me until normal service is resumed

As you can see from the previous post Rhydspence is a little uneven in shape. The floors are also uneven and requiring adjustment to the furniture. This all adds to its charm.

The Rhydspence Inn has an interesting history, some of which the proprietor told us whilst we were chatting to him in the bar. The Inn’s website provides a detailed overview of Rhydespence over the years.

I have just returned from a mini break in Hay-on-Wye, where we have been to celebrate our wedding anniversary. A short walk in the Garden

You enter the garden by a bridge over the Curl Brook and meet the Stone Tower where water is raised from the stream by an antique water wheel supplying the water which spouts from the gargoyles at the top. It is also home to a flock of white doves.
