We were greeted at the entrance to the breakfast room and taken to a breakfast table which was in the Cyan restaurant just outside the main breakfast room. Straight after breakfast we walked the short way to Arundel Castle arriving 15 minutes before it opened. We took advantage of a nearby bench to soak up the early morning sunshine whilst we waited.

We had lunch at Chirk Castle followed by a walk around the gardens and woodland area. Due to it being bank holiday Monday the cafe’s main seating areas were busy.
