Just above the Italian Terrace is the Dahlia walk, which is planted annually with over 700 plants. In the autumn it is a riot of colour and I would highly recommend a visit.

    Lovely flowers Cherie.
I love Dahlias, always remind me of my Grandad, he used to grow them, along with a host of garden vegetables and rhubarb.
Just to illustrate how ancient I am, we used to have our bread delivered by the Coop in a horse drawn bread van.
When the the van had passed, Grandad used to dash outside and shovel up the horse manure, which he spread on his rhubarb!
    Yikes!

I am glad I have reminded you of such good memories :-)

I would love to be able to have the simple things delivered to my house like that before I went to work.
