Cragside even has its own holiday cottages with spectacular views of the garden and Rothbury.
The building was once known as the Cottage in the Park and was built in around 1865 for the estate manager, William Bertram, who lived there for over 40 years. The house has many features in common with the original part of Cragside and is thought to be designed by the same unknown architect.
Wonderful! When can I move in:)
You need to ask the owner
I want to live there NOW! Beautiful!
Me too!
My goodness you have an eye for the angles. Top notch as usual.
Aww! thanks James xx
Move over Jams – I feel the same. What a paradise to live in.
Maybe we could all live there together? Just a thought
Lovely spot, and I love the style of the building – very advanced for its time (all mod-Victorian cons, no doubt!). Definitely a desres in superb location … had better shut up before my inner estate agent escapes and starts running amok! Excellent pic, up to your usual standard, Cherie.
Please don’t get too estate agenty! I might not be able to afford it!!!
You’ve gone and made me feel homesick again!
I feel homesick for my holiday home…
