    The only Hotspur I came to know, so far, was Tottenham.

    I believe it was on that grass between the castle and the river that Rowan Atkinson and horse pranced around on in the opening sequence of the original BlackAdder series, by the way.

    Huge thanks and three cheers from H Hotspur fan, Cherie! Great post, with excellent layout. He was married to Owen Glendower’s (sorry, can’t recall correct Welsh spelling) daughter, so loyalties were divided – to say the least – hence (in part) rebellion @ sorry end outside Shrewsbury. Very glad of the further background – and the wonderful pic of that statue, which captures HH’s legendary image perfectly. Love the way you’ve extended the visual partially using shading prog to frame the text. Thanks again, CC.
