Playing Santa

My brother is in town so I am off out delivering his Christmas present and also to give him the presents for my nephews.  I don’t see him that often so it is always nice to catch up with him.  He usually stays over Christmas with his boys, but the eldest one is working so this year that isn’t possible. I can’t believe my nephew is of an age that allows him to work, it makes me feel old!

If I am lucky I might also get my very belated birthday present. But that depends on my brother’s memory, it may still be sitting on his kitchen table ;-)

I tried to take a picture of the sunset from my office window, it was a lot more subtle than the one yesterday. Just as I was about to take the shot my office phone rang and there was some slight confusion because my colleague answered the phone and said I had gone home.

To much amusement I had to confess to loitering behind the blinds with my camera in hand. When I had finished the call I had missed the best of the sunset and the light was failing, the following picture is the result with a little help from my artwork program.  The photo was taken from the same place as the photo in yesterday’s post.

As the Sun Goes Down

Well it is a nice photo anyway even if it could have been better a few minutes earlier.

Have a wonderful Christmas Cherie and I wish you all the best for the New Year.

It is suburban Shropshire, I so wanted to get to Brum to take some pictures of the city but time got the better of me.

Merry Christmas to you too xx

Nice photo Cherrypie, I must admit that the thought of you hiding behind the blinds snapping away must be a source of confusion for the office:)

Happy Christmas to you and yours.

Especially as the phone makes strange noises when I press the shutter. I am not sure how to turn that feature off…

I hope you have a good Christmas too :-)

  4. Ah there was no chance of multitasking.. phone between chin and shoulder while taking the photo? Happy Christmas Cherie

Great stuff, Cherie – that isn’t The Wrekin on the horizon by any chance, is it? Anyway, a very merry Christmas to you and family.

That is actually a building I am not sure why it came out looking like a hill. You can actually see the Wrekin from there but it is in a slightly different direction and much further away.

Sorry to hear your still at work. I was thinking most had been sent home because of failing heating systems and awful road conditions.
Take care on your way home. I’m off now for a Christmas break.
I have enjoyed your blog and all its wonderful pictures.
Thanks for visiting mine this last year.
Let me wish you a wonderful Christmas and a healthy, if not prosperous New Year….. Bernard
