I have just about finished organising my photos on Flickr, although I keep thinking of other things I could just change or add to. But I have decided that I will leave it as it is for now, it is much better than it was when I started updating it yesterday. Now all I have to do is remember to keep it up to date.

The pictures can now be browsed in various categories:

I shall leave you with another of my favourite pictures that I don’t think I have shared on my blog before.  Today hasn’t been the best of days so the thought of residing in the top of an inaccessible  tower is quite appealing and I can feel a garden post coming on :-)

Oh my goodness – what a piece of work was that!

It’s perfect, CherryPie. Many thanks! And I’m adopting this colourful tower as my cyber escape when things get a little tough down here. Don’t worry about me. I won’t make a noise.:-)

Wonderful. Never seen anything like it. You must have been extremely lucky to catch those colours. I have a creeper similar to that…and it’s all over in a couple of days.
Thanks for all your comments Cherie. It’s been nice to have you drop in. All the very best for the New Year….Bernard xx

It really was amazing to see and from the place I took it, it was hidden out of sight.

You are welcome I love reading your blog. Happy New Year to you too xx

  4. OMG – I bet that took some sorting out and a great deal of time to do but what wonderful photos! Please tell me what camera you use as the quality and sharpness of photos is excellent.

    • CherryPie says:

It did take a bit of time , I am glad you enjoy the photos.

I use a Canon PowerShot A640 at the moment. I don’t think it is in their current range of cameras but my previous camera was an earlier model and I enjoyed that one just as much.

On the subject of photos Cherie, I would like to know what are best size pictures to upload to blogger say. I seem to be uploading Mega pixels each time when I’m sure a lower resolution would suffice.
    What’s the optimum for blogs?

    • CherryPie says:

The maximum width that most blogger pages show is 450 pixels.

The ones on my blog and most Wordpress blogs are 500 pixels wide and I adjust the portrait ones so that they are 500 pixels high so they look balanced against the landscape ones.

If you want people to be able to click to see a larger photo about 1024 pixels wide.

It will be a bit of trial and error. I always struggled a bit with uploading photos to blogger, they never did what I wanted them to do.

Lovely – and good to have everything organised in this way. It will make my future visits to your photo site so much easier, and I’m sure many others will, like me, continue to enjoy your work.

    • CherryPie says:

Thanks Phidelm, I knew people looked at my Flickr stream and it was difficult to navigate so I felt obliged to make it easier for people to enjoy (or otherwise).

  7. Whatt a beautiful tower.
