100photos2

I know this photo was taken last year and it is just a quick snapshot rather than one of my better photos. For me it just captures the mood for this thought on my theme.

I am not sure when I will get the chance to capture another photo with just the right mood because my Dad is about to undertake a course of chemotherapy which will last up to seven months or even more.

So I won’t apologise for the archive shot, but I will say that all the other photos will be taken especially for my theme.

You have captured the mood perfectly.
I do hope all goes well for your Dad.
    Regards Bernard.

PS On a lighter note…..are those faggots in that bowl in the foreground? One of my weaknesses and one of the things I miss.
    My Mother’s home made faggots.

      Thank you Bernard :-)

No not faggots they are stuffing balls. The name is just as bad LOL. It was our Christmas day lunch so you can also see Turkey with a mini sausage on the plate and in the other dishes: sprouts with crispy bacon, roast potatoes, apple sauce carrots and the stuffing that was inside the turkey. Of course there was gravy too but that seems not to have made it to the table yet.

What a very handsome pair, and facing such a sumptuous feast – which everyone is clearly going to enjoy. A picture to treasure. So sorry to hear about your father, Cherie. The serious illness of loved ones is so hard to bear; my thoughts with you all x

    • CherryPie says:

Thank You Phidelm :-) It was our delicious Christmas dinner and some silly photographer was getting in the way of the proceedings ;-)

He has had a chain of serious illnesses, we weren’t expected this one.

    Cherie,

My thoughts are with you and your family as your Dad beings his treatment. I hope you won’t mind me sharing a few thoughts, my Dad is in the undergoing chemo. We are in the 13th month of the treatment. Honor your feeling, remember their is always hope, make sure you take care of yourself. Ask questions, if you don’t understand something ask for it to be explained again. Warmest regards, Y

You can’t go wrong with a snapshot of your parents when it comes time to say Thank You, CP. Sooner or later they are gone and then you remember them in different ways. I pray your dad will surprise ezveryone with his chemotherapy!

    • CherryPie says:

Yes they definitely had to be in the 100, now I just have to get out and about to capture the rest of the pics.

Thank you for your kind words :-)

Now we can see the resemblance. A lovely shot as they’d like to be known.

  6. liz says:

A lovely happy photo. You have good reason to be glad. And soon the horrid treatment will be finished and successful.

  7. Claudia says:

It’s so lovely to meet your parents at that festive occasion. Thank you! Difficult times ahead. You are all in my thoughts and prayers, CherryPie.

  8. lovely photo! My thoughts are with you and your parents. :)

  9. A few healing prayers to your Dad, who looks like a fighting man so I’m sure chemo will be successful because he won’t let some ’silly illness win’ because he doesn’t have time or patience to be ill. You are so like your Mum to look at! A few healing prayers to her too as she has got to be strong for everyone and I’ll send a few special ones to you too.

    • CherryPie says:

Thank You DD :-) He was offered the treatment because the Dr thought it was worth trying and he is fit enough.

I must scan in some of the photos where even I do a double take and wonder if it is me or my Mum!

Thanks for your thoughts and prayers :-)
