Proof that English sunsets can be as enjoyable as those seen in the tropics , CP.

I will allow you a bit of ‘Photographers licence’ there Cherie. :)
The ENGLISH channel is important ( the eu are trying to rename it to ‘le pond’ or something equally silly), but….not really in the same league as the Atlantic or Pacific.
    Only joking :)
A nice photo, but a sad one.
I posted a picture of Weston-super-Mare pier (in background) today. Another sad loss, as that burnt down a year or two ago :(

I figured I wouldn’t get the chance to see a real ocean this year so I went with what I had got already ;-)

It is sad that they burned down. For some reason I find the one at Brighton quite photogenic, it fascinates me.

  3. Excellent photo Cherie

Didn’t Brighton Pier burn down or only the top of it?

    Lovely photo!
We have a ‘Brighton’ here in Australia too, right on the beach, and the pier is still enjoyed by visitors and fisherman. Your sunset there is beautifully pastel and understated, quite different to our sunsets, but very ethereal in its way. ;-)

  6. Annie says:

We do! Especially in the summer months. The sky looks bruised sometimes, and vibrant with burnt orange and red, so much color that it scorches your eyes! ;-)

A few weeks ago we had an amazing sunset here. The sun itself was big and round and red. I was driving at the time and was able to see it in my rear view mirror all the way home. It is a shame I wasn’t able to stop and photograph that.
