The 1st Duke’s greenhouse is one of the oldest in England and he used to grow oranges, lemons and myrtles inside it. The 4th Duke moved it to it’s present location and it is currently used to grow prize-winning camellias.

  1. Now that is a green house to impress!

It boggles my mind to see all the things one person can find (you) in your country, Cherie. After Holland, maybe I’ll move right on over. :)

Beautiful greenhouse – much better than the plastic hoop type that is a bit more common in my area. It does resemble a little bit the Orangery at Kew or maybe the Kew one was based on the one at Chatsworth? . Chatsworth looks like a wonderful garden.

It is probably the style of when they were built. I forgot to take a picture of the orangery at Chatsworth, although there were rather a lot of people in there because it is now the shop.

It is a wonderful garden and so is the estate.
