Looking PrettyMy visitors have now departed and I have the house back to myself and everywhere is quiet.  I got woken up several times in the early morning by a squeaking door which never squeaks when I use it…

At lunch time we attended a christening where the minister arrived just a few minutes before the service was due to start.  He then proceeded to collect all the things together that he needed for the service which started about 10 minutes late.  There seemed to be as many children in the congregation as there were adults so it was rather noisy and the service went something like this:

mwmwumwmuwmwmwmwmuwmwmwmwmwmwmuwmwmwmwmuwmwmwmuwmwmwmw
mwumwmuwmwmmwmwumwmuwmwmwmwmuwmwmwmwmwmwmuwmwmwmwmuwmw
mwmuwmwmwmwmwmwmuwmwmwmwmuwmwmwmuwmwmwmwumwmuwmwmwmwmw
mwmwmuwmw

mwmwumwmuwmwmwmw.  Amen mwmwmuwmwmwmwmuw. Amen etc.

Well that is all I could hear anyway.

Then a really odd thing happened when I got home and loaded the washing machine.  I had emptied the washing tablets in the machine and forgot to press the on button.  When I went back to turn the machine on, without thinking I automatically checked the draw to see if it had tablets in.  There was only one in there instead of two.  I checked the empty packet and it was indeed empty.  Then I checked all around to see if one had dropped on the floor and there was nothing to be found.  There must have been two in the packet to start with because the packet would have felt strange if there was only one in there…

So maybe not quite back to normal after all.

It wasn’t the best, although the family gathering after the service was very enjoyable :-) It is always nice to catch up with people you haven’t seen for a while.

Well I feel exhausted reading about it. I hope you have had the chance to put your feet up.

It’s fun to have visitors, but always nice to get back to normal too. Your red coat looks very cute, it’s getting closer to the weather for it.
