Interesting choice Cherie. Knowing you so well I clicked eagerly over here because I was so sure it would be a glorious orange sunrise. You fickle thing you. Talking of which, I think it’s about time I caught another sunrise myself. It’s hard to resist the temptation to jump out of bed just before the chilly dawn, isn’t it?
Me fickle :-O
It’s hard to resist the temptation to jump out of bed just before the chilly dawn, isn’t it?
I am sure you know me so well to realise that I never have that problem
There will be a sunrise, I am still banking on my plan, but if that doesn’t work I may have to make a sacrifice!
After all this time and all these promises I think it will have to be something special. Get your Druid outfit on and head to Stonehenge for the Winter Solstice., which is less than two months away now, my goodness!
I think that is a sacrifice to far!
Those are beautiful “wall flowers” Cherie – think I was one once and not nearly as pretty
I am sure you “wall flower” or not that you are pretty
What no pumpkins? Teasing. Halloween is so different in the UK.
Happy weekend to you Cherie
I haven’t even seen a pumpkin yet this year, I bet that shocks you.
Happy weekend to you too.
Beautiful. Much better than pumpkins
Thank you
gorgeous oranges!
Glad you like them
That wall of torch tithonia is spectacular!
I wondered what flower it was, thanks for telling me
What a gorgeous garden – you’re captures are perfect for this week’s theme.
I am really enjoying watching that garden develop
You inspired me to Google Attingham Park. Haven’t been there but reading that it’s in Shropshire made me recall the good times I spent in that part of the world. (Had family friends who used to have a house in Knighton over on the other side of the border and we’d spend time in Ludlow and other parts of Shropshire when we visited there.)
They sound like happy times and Shropshire is a lovely county
Beautiful – I love the orange Tithonia against the brick wall.
Thank you I didn’t know what the flower is called but it is beautiful.
Very beautiful, great shots!
So glad you like them
aloha,
thats a nice take on the orange theme….very pretty flowers and wall
Thanks, I rather like the contrast of the flowers against the wall
Ah npw that makes for a perfect take on the theme. Personally I think you and andrew should team up for some dawn photography at Stonehenge for the Winter Solstice… You’ve got to sufffer for your art!
Hmm! maybe I should put that to him… I am a member of English Heritage, so maybe they would let us for the publicity?
What beautiful gardens. Love how the orange flowers pop! Hope you are having a nice weekend.
Thanks Annie, I have had one lazy day and one busy day.
