Christmas takes its toll….

A gain of 4.5lb over 2 weeks. To be fare it wasn’t Christmas as such or due to over indulgence, there was no extra food in the house. It was due to visiting family for meals which included, Italian, Indian and Chinese. Not entirely healthy weight loss options, especially when experienced all in one week!

I wasn’t the only one at Weight Watchers this evening with a gain ;-)   But from today I am back on track and tracking :-)

Mine goes up and down like a yoyo anyway so maybe you’ll hit back as well.

As you know I go to Slimming World. Class had been cancelled for 3 sessions on the trot so I was pleased with the 2.5lb gain over this period. Like you, back on track and to be honest glad to be so. I have been eating bread which I haven’t eaten in an age and really felt bloated – so am pleased to be back on my red/green days.
    Good Luck! Dxx

People in our class had gained from 2 to 8 lbs. The trouble with relaxing is that it’s hard to get back into it again. We must encourage each other!

It’s impossible, during the Christmas Season, to visit family members and maintain a weight loss program. Actually, you did well. I spent all the January months of my lifetime losing the 3-4 pounds I always put on, every year, from Dec. 15 to January 7th. It’s not so much the quantity that affects people. It’s the variety. Food that we now omit from our regular diet, but we can hardly refuse when we visit. Also the number of meals we take out, and the lack of time to exercise between the meals. You’ll get back on track, Cherie. :-)

I think you have hit the nail right on the head there. Luckily I will be able to do a bit more walking each day now which should help at least a little :-)

Was there any “Goody Two-Shoes” in the group who actually lost weight over the Festive Season?

Myself, I hit Jan 5th on exactly the same weight as I was on December 20th, so I am calling myself a good boy.

I expect you will lose a few pounds fast as soon as you get back on the straight and narrow. Much of that gain is likely to just be the temporarily raised level of GI tract contents, I’d say. It’ll soon go with the flow, so to speak.

Yes, there were some “Goody Two-Shoes”, we decided they couldn’t have been enjoying themselves ;-)

You did well to stay the same :-)

I will let you know how I get on next week.

That’s pretty good I think. I managed to gain 5lbs over the holiday! I blame lack of exercise as much as over-indulgance. Back to running yesterday though, so I am confident I will shift it soon.
