I crept down 0.5lb this week. I am not quite sure how I managed that because I haven’t been able to plan my meals properly due to unforeseen circumstances.

The walking to and from work in the morning probably helped. The walk from the car park is approx half a mile and then there is the return journey. There is also a lot of walking around the office to get to a printer, tea point and the toilets. Currently I don’t have anyone working with me due to a sudden last minute job offer. This means I am sitting on my own and if I need advice I have to go on a little trek across the office.

Additionally all trade union files should be held in the TU office (according to a senior manager) which is in another building. It means taking more minutes than necessary to access files which should be under your finger tips and near by! I think that decision was wrong ;-)

How much have you lost altogether in the 24 wks. Cherie?
Don’t you find we naturally lose weight as we age and dislike foods we used to like?
Overnight I had a loss of appetite about a year ago which has done wonders for me. :)
And in the last few wks I can feel my new clothes getting loose on me already. :)

I had lost around 1 stone until I put that bit back on over Christmas. I seem to have put on more since I have got older… I am looking forward to being able to get back into wardrobe of clothes, I must try harder ;-)

I find it more helpful to plot the rate of change of weight, measuring it twice a week.
You should then have a straight line at e.g 1 lb/week or 1kg per week depending on your diet/exercise. That way you can take corrective action earlier.

Thanks for you visit and your thoughts :-)

My main problem for the blips upwards is difficult periods in my life. For example, over Christmas I ate out with family and friends most days so I wasn’t in control of the type of food I ate. I aim for a 0.5lb loss each week.

The increased walking should help keep me on track.
