Last week I was confused by my gain on the scales and this week I am equally baffled by the result. I have been good over the week and tracked my points accurately but my clothes feel tighter than they did last week which led me to think I had gained some more.
The scales said I had lost 2.5lb…
Good for you for having a successful week.
Thanks Jane
I think you may be discovering flaws in the laws of chemistry and physics. I am watching with interest (while eating chocolate
I have seen lots of flaws in chemistry and physics! They defy the flaws of nature
Now you are tempting me with the thought of chocolate :-O Now where did I put that bottle of wine
Ah yes, the flaws of nature… I think I may be one of those. I suggest you find the red wine quick. Your life may depend on it.
The flaws in nature are good things they lead to discovery
Now where is that red wine…
There can be daily variations, Cherie, at least in my fluctuating case. some days I’m 86 kg and some days closer to 80 kg.
I agree That is why I haven’t weighed daily for years. But I am still curious as to why things seem to be the opposite of what they should be…
I found it depends a lot on what we ate and did just the day before we go on the scale. Not on what we do the whole week. Eventually the weight settles in 2-3 days to what is the truth. That was my experience. When you’ll reach your goal, your weight will go down or up, 2-3 lbs. whenever you use the scale. You’re doing well, Cherie. Here’s to your good health. Santé!
Thank you Claude. Maybe I need to vary my food a bit too
Don’t you love such surprises, Cherie. When we got back from our Norway trip, I hadn’t gained a pound and was I ever a happy camper, after all that good eating. Must have been all those steps and and down every whip-stitch to take pictures on deck!
Yes I think all that walking did the trick. I don’t suppose sitting all day at the computer for work helps me much!
Great stuff C. I lost half a pound this week.
Well done
It’s not you, it’s the clothes.
You washed them with the temperature too high.
Now wash them too hot again, and really diet to get into them.
Twice round the carpark, don’t deny yourself the pleasures of the early morning air
Blueberries may help with the fat, try googling.
Not that you look fat, (phew, nearly copped a left hook for that), just a little more tone required.
Three times around the car park.
What about skate boarding to work?
GYmnastics in the lunch break?
Way back when, I used an Indian herb that altered the Krebs into more thermogenic, more energy, less fat accumulation. Adaptation comes after about 2 weeks, but it works up to that point.

Can’t remember the name of the herb, must try, maybe I can use it again.
The machine saysthis looks spammy, so I’ve added these words to dilute the links, may work…
Oh, bugger, I’ll have to remove some links.
That worked.
Silly machines!
I have a wardrobe full of clothes that I need to shrink into
I managed a walk down to the station this morning that was nice and refreshing. With quite a bit more walking in Birmingham too. I know I should do a bit more walking every day. I probably should walk at lunchtime which I usually spend reading.
I am not sure I would look very dignified skateboarding at my age
I vaguely remember reading about blueberries being good for weight reduction but I have not heard of the Krebs Cycle.
The machines are being silly! The notification of your first comment which has no links at all in it ended up in my spam folder…
PS: I forgot to say, how are you getting on with yours?
