Such a beautiful abby … can you ever imagine living in something that huge!!!
Just imagine all that cleaning and how cold it would be…
Another beautiful house…with gothic ruin attached!
The house is to one side, it is an optical illusion. Wait until you see the other house that is next to this ruin!!!
I like both angles that you captures Chérie….. if the Abbey is a herritage building….does it mean that they can not restore it….peter:)
I think in this case they choose not to restore the ruined part of the building.
Don’t you wonder how one can appear whole while the other is in ruins?! I’m such a glutton for places like that.
It is fascinating that some of the buildings are in tact and some in ruins. It is a lovely place
I love places like this, and Bolton is special too. We had a exchange student from Bolton earlier this year and she’s so sweet
It sounds like you had great fun with your exchange student
The abbey makes a romatic setting!
Great for wedding shots.
I think it highly likely that it is used for that sometimes
Such a pity they’re all broken down now, neglected, what they stood for forgotten.
I think you will find there is a little surprise in relation to that, in one of my upcoming posts.
Beautiful pictures!
Thanks Victoria

Thanks for visiting. This place certainly has a lot of history
Great shot, that is an amazing collection of buildings.
It is a wonderful place to visit
