Such craftmanship displayed such a beautiful building.
It is impressive isn’t it?
The Minster is such a beautiful bulding. THere’s nothing like visiting old cathedrals. Give me York over say “Paddy’s Wigwam” any day
I love the Cathedrals in France too, I am long overdue a visit.
Your photo series has made me resolve to visit York (combined with the report of my daughter, just returned from her weekend there). This summer, perhaps, if the fates allow. I won’t be able to match the quality of your pics but I’ll try for some oddball views.
I am glad I inspired you (along with your daughter) and I hope you do visit
Don’t do yourself down, your photos are great and I would love to see York through your eyes.
Beautiful light!
Truly magical.
Does the entrance ticket include access to their roof terrace?
I can’t remember now.
The lighting on that day was quite magical
You have to pay extra to get up onto the roof terrace.
No way!
Tickets to Canterbury Cathedral include access to their roof.
I have relatives that live in Kent near to Canterbury and we always got in for free until the last time we tried to visit. We arrived 30 minutes before it closed and we were informed that we would have to pay the full cost if we wanted to go in.
York I think does allow local residents to go in free…
So impressive!!!! Mickie
Thanks Mickie
I like how you captured the detail with the sharpness & light.
Thank you the lighting was perfect that day.
